Stagger has to be checked repeatedly through a night, and a tape wrapped around a hot tire is slow and inconsistent. A box style caliper takes the reading in one movement. Machined from aluminum and covering a 65 Inch to 115 Inch range, it opens across the tread patch at proper pressure and holds the largest reading.

Sold each.
