Torque Links and Components

Torque Links are also know as 3rd Links or torque absorbers they extend under acceleration which serves to soften the application of torque to the rear wheels for extra traction off the corner. The rotation of the rear end can be utilized to produce several effects such as introducing rear steer and increasing the cross weight percentage while under acceleration. They replace the upper solid link on the rear suspension to give extra traction off the corner. Racers can effectively tune the point of full application of engine torque to the rear tires in order to maximize acceleration off the corners in all track conditions.
