Oil Galley Plugs are commonly referred to as a “Barbell" that are used by the factory to divert oil to the factory oil filter and prevent unfiltered oil from circulating through the engine. The original GM barbells are a nylon material that may become brittle over time and should be replaced when performing a rebuild or upgrades. Billet Aluminum upgrade replacements are available.
