Flexing or incorrect length pushrods are the major cause of valve train geometry issues. Crane offers sturdy one-piece chrome moly pushrods in all popular sizes, plus can custom make them to your exact requirements. Crane performance pushrods are made from 4130 chromoly seamless steel tubing. The ends are precision-made, carburized, heat-treated for strength and wear resistance, and press-fit into the tubing. Some applications are also carbonitride heat-treated to strengthen and harden the tubing for use with or without pushrod guideplates. In these instances, the ends are spot-welded into the tubing for maximum strength and reliability.
