The grommet seals the relief valve where it passes through the wheel, keeping air in and dirt out. A hardened or torn grommet causes a slow leak that changes stagger over a race. Rubber construction seals against the wheel face while absorbing vibration.
Sold in packs because they are replaced whenever a valve is serviced.
