Torsion bar bushings support the bar where it passes through the chassis, letting it twist freely without metal-on-metal wear. A worn bushing lets the bar move where it should not, changing how the corner loads. Low-friction materials keep the bar acting like a spring rather than binding.
Bushings are inexpensive wear items that are worth replacing on a schedule.
