The spindle nut sets front wheel bearing preload and is the single fastener holding the hub on the spindle, so it has to stay put through every impact the front end takes. A nut that backs off changes bearing clearance and can put a wheel at risk. This titanium kit locks positively with a keyed washer and screws instead of relying on thread friction alone, and it is sized for 10 Degree front spindles.
