The torsion arm transfers wheel movement into the torsion bar, making it the link that determines how each corner of the car carries load. Any flex or slop here shows up as inconsistent bite that no amount of setup change will fix. Precise machining keeps the spline and pickup points where the setup sheet expects them, lap after lap.
Arms take direct hits in contact, so a spare set in the trailer is cheap protection against a lost feature.
Torsion Arms (2330/2332) are made from 4130 steel; it won't change torsion bar rates but maintains flexibility. These arms stay strong even with high exhaust heat, reducing twisting under pressure.
