Pre-assembled AN hose lines give you a brake or fuel line with crimped ends that will not weep, in a length that suits the routing. Building lines by hand invites leaks at exactly the connections you cannot afford to lose. Kevlar and braided constructions resist the abrasion and heat found around brakes and headers.
Correct length matters because excess hose chafes and too little puts strain on the fittings.
