An axle spacer kit gives you a range of widths in one purchase so wheel spacing and track width can be adjusted without ordering individual parts. Getting spacing right protects the bearing shoulder and keeps stagger where you set it. Anodized aluminum resists the galling that seizes a spacer on the axle.
Having the full range in the trailer means setup changes happen at the track rather than between weekends.
