This hub carries both the rear sprocket and the brake rotor on a micro or mini sprint axle, transferring drive torque in and braking torque out. A hub that flexes or wears lets both components move, damaging each. Machined aluminum with correct mounting holes keeps everything located while holding weight down.

Correct axle diameter is what makes the hub fit.
