The rear sprocket sets final drive ratio, which is the single fastest way to match engine power to a given track length and grip level. Teams carry a range of tooth counts and swap them between sessions as the surface changes. Hardened aluminum keeps the mass down on a part that rotates with the axle while still holding tooth profile against chain load.
Running a worn sprocket with a fresh chain destroys both, so replacing them as a set is standard practice.
Sprockets are manufactured from hardened aluminum for improved durability without added weight. Sprockets feature 5.25 Inch bolt circle with 5/16 Inch pre-drilled holes. Fits Triple X and other mini sprint sprocket hubs.
