MPD Axle Tether - Aluminum - Black - 2-1/2" Axle Tube

A broken front axle on a winged sprint car can put the wheel and axle into the racing surface or the fence, which is why tethers moved from optional to mandatory at most tracks. This complete kit is the 2-1/2 Inch axle tube version, the most common size, and connects the front axle to the front motor mount tube so the axle stays with the car. Installation is straightforward with no welding or drilling of the axle required.
Kit includes two billet clamps, two 31 Inch tethers and all hardware.
Approved for use by Knoxville Raceway and the WoO (World of Outlaws), this front axle tether system adds a measure of safety to open wheel racing in the event of front axle breakage. Supplied with 2-1/2 Inch billet clamps that install easily to the front axle, with tethers then connected to the front motor mount tube. Kit includes (2) billet clamps, (2) tethers, and required hardware.
Tether, clamp, and hardware kits are also available separately for replacement purposes, or for spare front axles.
