MPD Axle Clamp - Black - 2-1/2" Axles - Sprint Car Tether - (Pair)

These are the replacement clamps for an MPD front axle tether system, sized for 2-1/2 Inch axle tubes. The clamp is what anchors the tether to the axle, so it has to hold under the shock load of an axle letting go, which is why MPD machines them from billet rather than casting them. Buying the clamps on their own makes sense when you are building up a spare front axle and want it tether-ready before it goes on the car.
