Hedman's Standard-duty, Uncoated Hedders are manufactured using 18 gauge, mandrel bent primary tubes (some models built using thicker 16 or 14 gauge tubing), and 1/4 flanges (some models use 3/8" flanges).
Hedman Hedders has been manufacturing quality headers in the USA since 1954, and they've been manufacturing long and MID-LENGTH tube headers for Chevy passenger cars for decades. Each set uses mild steel, smooth flowing, CNC mandrel bent tubes, that are hand-welded to ensure each pair is identical to the next. Hedman's unique, gasketless ball and socket collector design allows your Big Block Chevy exhaust system to bolt up, even if it is not perfectly aligned with the header collectors
These MID-LENGTH headers fit Big Block Chevy V8 powered, 1967-81 Chevy Camaros; 1968-1977 GM A-Body vehicles (Chevy Chevelle, El Camino, Monte Carlo, Olds Cutlass, Pontiac Grand Prix); '68-79 Chevy II and Nova. These headers are also compatible with other 1965-74 passenger cars from Chevrolet. The smooth 1-3/4 in tube design provides ample exhaust flow to let your 396-454 BB Chevy engine breathe easy, and improve horsepower and torque over stock manifolds
These headers are uncoated, and ship from the factory with a temporary black paint that will burn off when submitted to normal operating temperatures. For protection against the element and lower underhood temperatures, these headers are also available with a silver or black ceramic-metallic finish
Each set includes a pair of gaskets, header flange bolts and collector bolts. No collector gasket is needed

Hedman Hedders, began as a one man shop in 1954. Bob Hedman, founder of Hedman Hedders, sold his highly sought after exhaust tubes to fellow racers on the salt flats of the Mojave Desert. But, what started out as a way to make a few bucks to pay for Bob’s racing hobby, quickly turned into the premier hedder manufacturer for both the racing and street hedder marketplaces.
