Gliding on roller bearings, the Falcon Transmission Aluminum Roller Slide Transmission telescopes 5-1/2" at the rear yoke allowing your drive line and suspension the freedom to move forward and rearward without inducing or limiting roll steer. The Falcon Transmission Roller Slide Transmission has all the advantages of more drive line travel and less maintenance, while being durable enough to handle the tough environment of today's racing. As with all Falcon Transmissions, the Falcon Transmission Roller Slide Transmission provides two speeds forward, reverse and an integral hydraulic applied clutch which operates low and revers. High gear is a direct driver 1 to 1 ratio and a floating (Bert/Brinn style) 10-spline input shaft provides positive high gear retention. The Falcon Late Model Transmission has two forward speeds, neutral, and reverse, with an integral hydraulically-applied clutch operating low and reverse gears. High gear is a direct-drive 1-to-1 ratio with minimal rotating mass. With its aluminum case and extension housing, the Transmission weighs just 45 pounds. It’s comparable dimensionally to a Muncie, T-10, and other similar Transmissions—and that includes the 13/16” x 27-spline output shaft, which by design contributes to the most positive high gear retention in the industry. It comes with the correct crank coupler for easy installation—even to a stock flywheel housing. Frictionless bearings support all rotating components for unmatched durability, and as with all Winters Transmissions, all rotating internals, from gears to shafts, are REM-finished.
