Having a high powered ignition control is only half the equation when it comes to your engine's performance ? you also need to ensure that the voltage makes it to the spark plug. The FAST FireWire Spark Plug Wire was designed for performance and racing from the inside-out! For FAST, one of the most important aspects of engineering the low resistance FireWire was to ensure it could effectively filter the electro-magnetic interference and "noise" that occurs within spark plug wires. The answer lies within a unique reactive core design that effectively suppresses EMI ensuring trouble-free operation of the ignition control, EFI system and other on-board electronics. From a performance standpoint, the conductor of the FireWire features the lowest resistance, less than 25 ohms per foot, of resistance. Less resistance means the most spark energy reaches the plug gap for every firing. To combat the extreme conditions that wires face under the hood, the core and conductor are protected with a sleeve of double-layered, pure silicone. This design is effective against header heat, oils and abrasion, and to complete the package, our silicone boots can withstand 550?F!
