This high-rise single plane intake is capable of supporting up to 600 hp. The Victor Jr. LS1 accepts a square bore carburetor and includes an electronic timing module that picks up MAP, crank position, and cam position in order to drive the stock LS1 Coil-on-Plug ignition system. The module offers a choice of 6 built-in timing curves, each tailored for engine displacement, cam profiles, and fuel grades. The #29087 (manifold only) can be used on LS2 applications when matched with MSD's #6012 LS2 ignition controller (available through MSD ® Performance). Includes a throttle bracket designed to work with 700R-4, 200R-4 and Turbo 350 transmissions. Most applications will require hood modification. INSTALLATION NOTE: Uses LS1/LS6 style individual port O-ring seals. Crankshaft sleeve #HP3795 and Flexplate #HP4004 is recommended when using a TH350, TH400 or 700R4 on a LS1; these items are available through Hughes Performance retailers or you can call Hughes at 800-274-RACE. Manifold height: A-4.95", B-4.95"; Carb pad height: 4.95". Port exit dimensions: .98" x 2.74".

  • LS1 (24x) applications can be recognized by the rear mounted cam position sensor which is black in color, while LS2 (58x) cam sensor is mounted in the timing cover and is gray in color.

  • Use RTV sealant to properly seal end seals, such as Edelbrock High Temp Silicone sealant #1076, DO NOT USE END SEALS GASKETS.
  • Hardened washers Must be used with intake bolts to ensure proper torque and prevent galling of the aluminum.
  • Sealant must be used on intake bolt threads if the threads extend into lifter valley or coolant passage.
  • NPT/Pipe thread fittings require the use of Teflon tape or paste on threads to ensure proper seal.
  • DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN NPT/Pipe fittings, this may cause the aluminum to crack around the fitting boss. NPT/Pipe thread is a tapered thread.
  • Carburetor size (CFM) should be selected based on your specific engine combination.
  • To ensure maximum performance and a proper seal, Edelbrock gaskets which are specifically designed and manufactured for use with Edelbrock parts must be used.
