Designed for street 396-502 c.i.d. big-block Chevy V8s using general duty oval-port cylinder heads. number 2161 is stock replacement/street legal part for 396, 402, 427 and 454 V8s with OEM 4-bbl. carb.

  • Carb pad height: 4.85"
  • Carb recommendations: Stock 4-Bbl use choke rod #9179 if needed, Edelbrock AVS2 or Performer Series 600-800cfm. Use bracket #8031 for 1972-78.
  • Port exit dimensions: 1.70"w x 1.68"
  • Use RTV sealant to properly seal end seals, such as Edelbrock High Temp Silicone sealant #1076, DO NOT USE END SEALS GASKETS.
  • Hardened washers Must be used with intake bolts to ensure proper torque and prevent galling of the aluminum.
