Earl's stocks "O" ring seals in both the traditional BUNA N synthetic rubber and in VITON. The BUNA compound is compatible with most fuels, hydraulic fluids and lubricants up to a temperature limit of 275 Degrees F. VITON is preferred for synthetic lubricants, oxygen bearing fuels and additives and non-ether based brake fluids. VITON also has more scuff resistance, a longer service life and a higher temperature rating of 400 Degrees F.

    • Earl's Performance Products was founded by Earl Fouts in 1955 in Lawndale, California. The mission was to supply high-quality military aircraft surplus plumbing components directly to the racing industry from a small retail outlet. As the military surplus market dried up, Earl recognized the need for continuity of supply for the racing market and pioneered the Earl's range of hoses and fittings that are still used today.
