Clamp the hook and inside jaw against the rim, while maintaining slight pressure on the outside handle, then press down on the inside handle, using the outer jaws to separate the tire from the rim, moving around the rim as needed. Wide jaw bead breaker works well with soft sidewall tires, helping prevent damage to sidewall.
