Specialty jam nuts have smaller outside diameters allowing smaller wrenches to be used when changing radius rod lengths. Example: with 1/2 Inch bolts the same 3/4 Inch wrench can be used to adjust radius rod or mounting hole locations. This nut has a 5/8 Inch-18 Right Hand thread and uses a 3/4 Inch wrench.
