Stornetta Pads Point Lead With Fourth Victory in Pit Stop USA Sprint Car Series.

PETALUMA, CA. - August 18, 2012:  Napa driver Joe Stornetta won Saturday nights Pit Stop USA Sprint Car Series feature for wingless sprint cars at Petaluma Speedway.  Current points leader Stornetta captured his fourth win of the season as he quickly grabbed the lead from the pole position and never looked back in perhaps his best performance of the season.  In addition to winning the feature, Stornetta was the night’s fast qualifier.

Stornetta caught lapped traffic nine laps into the 25-lap race. Stornetta was never seriously challenged for the lead with all of the action behind him for the runner up spot as Bret Barney, Geoff Ensign, Taylor Simas and Klint Simpson fought hard for the first 19 laps. Ensign dove to the bottom to capture second place on Lap 20.  Simas, Simpson Trevor Schmid all managed to get by the Barney at the finish.

Heat race wins went to Bill Cornwell, Terry Schank Jr. and Klint Simpson
