SPEARS Southwest Tour Series is Big at the Bullring in 2012
Bakersfield, CA – The SPEARS Southwest Tour Series will
return to The Bullring at Las Vegas Motor Speedway three times in 2012,
including the season finale on November 17th.
May 12th will be the first stop of the year for
the SRL at The Bullring for the “GoLiveStream.TV ‘Blackjack’ 121”. “Jeff Thielscher of GoLiveStream.TV has been
associated with us since our days at Mesa Marin Raceway,” stated the SRL’s
Brian Olsen. “Jeff has a real passion
for our sport and has been a big supporter in many ways over the years.” The “GoLiveStream.TV ‘Blackjack’ 121” will be
the third race of the 2012 SPEARS Southwest Tour Series championship season.
“GoLiveStream see's the value in
advertising with the SPEARS Southwest Tour Series,” commented Thielscher. “The series has been stepping up its program
each year. This will be the fifth year we are sponsoring one of the races at
The Bullring at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.”
A little less than four months later, the series will return
to the Nevada Desert for the “Century Boatland 125” on Saturday, September 8th. “Last year, John and Jonathon Gomez helped
the SRL get to Rocky Mountain Raceways for the first time. This year the Gomez’s are bringing their
Century Boatland sponsorship to The Bullring,” stated the SRL’s Larry
Collins. “It’s great to see people who
race also do things that help the entire series, and John and Jonathon are two
people that do just that, by supporting the series events.”
“We ran our first ever SRL race at the Bullring (2009) and
we’ve always ran well and enjoyed the races in Vegas,” commented Jonathon
Gomez. “Having Century Boatland as the
sponsor of the September 8th race will give us a little more
incentive to get our first win at the Bullring.”
Another racer who associates his company with the series by
way of event sponsorship is Sigma Engineering’s Joe Farre’. For the fifth consecutive year, the Bullring
will again host the SPEARS Southwest Tour Series season finale “Sigma
Engineering Solutions 154”.
“Having the opportunity to be a part of
the SRL series is very exciting for us, but to have this group of cars, this
caliber of competition, and this level of professionalism and growth in a
series that visits our hometown track is really something special,” stated
Farre’. “To be able to race in front of
my family, friends, clients and hometown crowd is really great, but to be able
to do it as part of the SPEARS Southwest Tours Series really makes it something
special.”

The action never stops in Vegas, and the SPEARS Southwest
Tour Series will be in action on three occasions at The Bullring at Las Vegas
Motor Speedway in 2012.
