There’s not much that can be said about Big Block Modified racer Brett Hearn that hasn’t been said already, but you can expect that a lot more will be said in the near future when Hearn passes the 800 career wins mark.

Hearn’s career record currently stands at 793 wins (as of 5/13/2011) which can change daily with races schedule tonight at Accord and Saturday night at Lebanon Valley Speedway.

Very few get the chance to rewrite history every time they go to the track but Hearn is clearly comfortable redefining what greatness is. In a sport where many racer’s goals are to win just one race, Hearn has accomplished that feat 793 times with 467 wins in Big Block Modifieds, 325 in Small Block Modifieds and 2 wins in Sprint Cars.

Looking at the numbers there is no clear favorite condition or track that has helped build this impressive number of victories. Hearn simply wins everywhere, on any track condition, any race length and any country. 314 of his wins were in races of 50 laps or longer. He has won at 47 different tracks in ten different states and two Canadian provinces. Along the way Hearn has collected 72 track and series championships.

If there were a couple of notable high marks in his already impressive career, Hearn is the All-Time Winner at Orange County Fair Speedway with 295 Wins (170 Modified) (123 Small-Block Modified) (2 Sprint Car) and the All-Time Winner at Albany-Saratoga Speedway with 98 Wins. These records are not likely to be broken anytime soon.

At only 52 years old, Hearn could push the number of career wins into the stratosphere before he is finished. For now let’s watch, wait and enjoy this superstar as he surpasses the 800 win mark.
