The West Coast Shootout Late Model Series is set to return to action this Saturday night, April 30th, at Bakersfield Speedway. Also on the scorecard will be Mini Stocks, California Lightning Sprints and the Youth Racing Series.

The West Coast Shootout opened their season in February at Tucson, Arizona’s USA Raceway for the Copper on Dirt battling against the competitive Total Seal Late Model Series. California was represented well bringing home five out of six podium finishes during the two nights of racing.

“I am excited that the series will begin here in California,” stated series promoter Chris Kearns,”The talent that runs within the West Coast Shootout produced great racing in Arizona against a tough field, I expect the same here.”

Bakersfield Speedway and the West Coast Shootout have come together offering a great deal for the traveling race teams. All drivers from out of state who attend this weekend’s race will have their entry fee waved courtesy of the West Coast Shootout and will also receive two free pit passes from Bakersfield Speedway.

Drivers who enter this weekend’s competition will also be one step closer to winning a $40,000 all aluminum Pro Power Late Model Engine. Drivers must attend ten out of eleven events scheduled below to be eligible for the drawing. With the first race already in the books, drivers can use it as their “throw away” race and are still eligible for the end of the season drawing.

Chris Kearns Presents and the West Coast Late Model Shootout would like to thank Hoosier Tires, Pro Power Racing Engines, DFT Transportation, RoadRunner Fabrication, Dart Machinery, Manley, CP/Carillo, Isky Racing Cams, Five Star Grafix and Matt Mussell Designs for their support for the 2011 season.
