Nic Faas, the 21-year-old sprint car phenom from Huntington Beach, California has found a new ride for the 2011 season with the Alexander Racing Team.  Faas will also receive help from Ken Goecke at Scott Sales Company and plans to make a run at the USAC/CRA Sprint Car Championship.

Faas will have some big shoes to fill as he takes over the ride which has been driven by “The Cowboy” Tony Jones.  Jones is the son of Hall of Fame driver Bubby Jones and joined the team in 2006 and found success quickly as he won the USAC/CRA title the next year in 2007.  Tony scored twenty main event victories in the #4 “Silver Bullet”, including two USAC National preliminaries at the Perris Oval Nationals. Other drivers who include “Super” Rickie Gaunt, Mike Kirby, and “The Kruser” Cory Kruseman have also won features in the Alexander car.

For more information on Alexander Racing, fans can check out the team website atwww.alexanderracing.4t.com and for more information on Nic Faas fans can visit www.nicfaas.com.

In 2008, Nic won the USAC Western Midget Series Championship and Rookie of the Year honors with USAC/CRA. Despite limited appearances last season with USAC/CRA, Faas finished twentieth in the point standings. He also won the $5,000 to win All Coast Construction Challenge finale for the VRA 360 Sprint Cars at Ventura Raceway.  Faas will make his debut in the Mark Alexander owned J&D Performance powered Spike at Perris Auto Speedway’s “Sokola Shootout” on March 12th. The majority of last year’s sponsors with the Alexander Team will return with many marketing opportunities still available.
