Transponders work in combination with the timing system installed on the track at the start/finish line and optionally at intermediate points along the track. Whether your track uses Westhold or MYLAPS AMB Timing Systems, Pit Stop USA has the transponder and accessories you need for your race track. Each Westhold transponder has a unique serial number that identifies exactly which competitor is crossing the start/finish line, or any other timing point on a course. Unlike standard RFIDs, Westhold's transponders have an ultra high data rate (1mbit/sec) at HF (3-30MHz) frequencies. Because the high data rate generates many data points, the system is able to more accurately determine when a transponder crosses the center line of the start/finish. Four Westhold transponder types are available:

• Rechargeable (Yellow) - Charge lasts 7 days. Green light at top flashes the number of days remaining. Fast recharge (max 3 hours, typically 1 hour).
• Hardwire (Orange) - Eliminates charging hassle. Hardwired directly to vehicle. Hooks to 12VDC battery.
• Activated-CAR (Green) - A cost effective unit meant for cars of all types. No charging necessary. Replaceable internal battery (battery life 3 years, depending on usage. Non-use shelf life up to 9 years).
• Activated-KART (Blue) - A cost-effective unit intended for motorcycles, karts and quarter midgets. No charging necessary. Replaceable internal battery (battery life 3 years, depending on usage. Non-use shelf life up to 9 years).
• MYLAPS Transponders work in combination with the MYLAPS Car Timing System installed on the track at the start/finish line and optionally at intermediate points along the track. MYLAPS Transponders are available in three types:
• MYLAPS TR2 Transponder - With the X2 system MYLAPS is taking the first step in building a brand new platform to collect and route data at a completely different level. The new platform will enable transponder-based products and services to be used for much more than timekeeping only. By working together with timekeepers, circuits and developers we create more value for everybody involved in racing. The X2 system has an all-new and robust design and includes newly developed portable decoders and servers. The system is built on a new and highly advanced infrastructure and can be used for multiple (motorized) sports.
