Inside the metallic container of every ATL Fuel Cell is the fuel bladder. The bladder is the “heart” of the fuel cell and is what differentiates a traditional gas tank from a true crash-worthy safety cell. In the event of a crash, the bladder is designed to deform on impact and not split, crack, or rupture like a traditional tank. ATL manufactures a wide variety of fuel bladders, constructed from different coated fabrics and molded polymers. Each ATL Fuel Cell “Series” is unique and offers different levels of fuel resistance, flexibility, and tensile strength.
