Martinsville, Indiana’s Don O’Neal returned back to the Hoosier State recently following a very successful “Speedweeks 2011″ in Florida from February 7-19.  Don was behind the wheel of the Magnaflow Exhaust Products #71 MasterSbilt House Car at the East Bay Raceway Park in Gibsonton, Florida and the Moring Motorsports #1 MasterSbilt by Stuckey at the Ocala Speedway in Ocala, Florida and the Volusia Speedway Park in Barberville, Florida.  In all, Don accumulated two victories, seven Top Five finishes, and eleven Top Ten performances in the thirteen “Speedweeks” races that he entered.

Don O’Neal has also launched a new website at www.dononeal71.com.  The new website has all of the latest news and information concerning the #71 team and will be kept maintained all year long with schedule changes, results, photos, and much more.

At East Bay during the annual running of the ‘Winternationals,’ Don debuted his new Magnaflow Exhaust Products sponsorship for six Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series programs.  The popular driver known as “The Real Deal” had a fantastic ‘Winternationals’ and emerged from the week third in the current LOLMDS point standings.  He nearly won several main events at the Tampa area venue, but settled for four top fives and five top tens.  Don then joined the Moring Motorsports team at Ocala and Volusia and proceeded to put the #1 car into victory lane at both tracks.  He picked up an $8,000 payday at Ocala on Sunday, February 13 and two days later recorded a $7,000 victory at Volusia.

The next scheduled event for Don O’Neal and Team 71 Racing is scheduled to be the 35th Annual ‘Spring 50′ at the venerable Florence Speedway in Union, Kentucky on Saturday, March 19.  The one-day, unsanctioned event at the King family 1/2-mile boasts a $5,000 top prize.  Don is the four-time and defending winner of the ‘Spring 50,’ as he has taken the checkers at the Cincinnati area racetrack in 1999, 2002, 2006, and 2010.
