(Salem, IN & Nashville, TN) - Champion Racing Association (CRA) and Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway officials announced today the CRA Super Series Late Models will be joining local divisions as part of the legendary All-American 400 Weekend in Nashville.  The Super Late Models of CRA will run a 200-lap feature on Sunday, October 30th.

In addition to the CRA Super Late Models, local divisions will be included in the weekend's activities, ensuring that racers from the Nashville area and other parts of the country play a big part in one of short track racing's most signature events.

Complete details about the event will be announced at a later date, but officials from the track and series wanted to make sure this initial news was released immediately.  Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway promoter Bobby Hamilton Jr. noted, "We wanted the teams and fans alike to be sure to get this date on their schedule as soon as possible and make plans to come to Nashville for great weekend of fun and racing."  Hamilton and his group secured a two-year lease to run events at the Fairgrounds earlier this year, and have been extremely busy "getting things up to speed."  The announcement of the date and CRA's inclusion answers many of the big questions about the remaining 2011 season.

We are excited to be going back to Nashville," commented CRA founder and co-owner R. J. Scott.  "It is absolutely one of our favorite places to go: the racers love it, the fans love it, the officials love it...everyone loves Nashville!  We've got a lot of years invested in helping continue the All American tradition, and we appreciate Bobby and his teams recognizing that and having us back as part of the All American again this year."  For many CRA teams, the 200-lap event at Nashville will be even more important, as teams will be competing for points towards a National or Southern Championship.

"It’s great to have this out there now and we look forward to releasing more exciting information about the event in the near future," Hamilton further noted.  Additional details will be announced at a later date at www.craracing.net or www.fairgroundspeedwayusa.com.
