PETALUMA, CA. - July 21, 2012:  Seventeen-year-old Chase Johnson took full advantage of his front row starting position by finding his way to victory lane for the first time this season in the Pit Stop USA Sprint Car Series at Petaluma Speedway.

Starting from row two, Richard Bailey pursued Johnson until a lap 10 spin moved Lindt to the second spot.  Johnson had plenty of competition to contend with as five time track champion David Lindt Jr. would pressure him throughout the race, including a daring final lap attempt for the win. Johnson, a fourth generation racer, was cool throughout the feature and consistently hit his marks to capture his second feature win ever on the fast 3/8 mile adobe track.

Johnson completed the flag-to-flag feature win followed by Lindt with his third straight runner up finish, fast qualifier Kirk Simpson, Geoff Ensign, and Art McCarthy.  Richard Bailey worked his way back to third with Bradley Terrell, Ivan Worden, Billy Butler and Roberto Kirby rounding out the top ten.
