PETALUMA, CA – JUNE 9, 2012: Geoff Ensign made it three straight sprint car wins at Petaluma Speedway, this time in the Pit Stop USA Wingle...ss Sprint Car Series against the top drivers from the traveling Joe Hunt Magnetos Wingless Shootout Series. The 22 year-old Sebastopol, California driver has been on a roll at the 3/8 mile adobe oval in recent weeks showing he can get it done with or without a wing.
Ensign piloted the beautifully prepared #5V VanLare Steering Repair Maxim to a flawless performance leading all 25 laps on his way to victory lane on the smooth and dry-slick race track. Joe Hunt Magnetos Wingless Shootout Series point leader Terry Schank Jr. mounted a late race challenge after getting by Scott Hall on lap 17, but Ensign was not to be denied his third straight Pit Stop USA Sprint Car Series victory. The final 18 laps were run under green and Ensign kept to the bottom groove and never gave Hall or Schank an opportunity to seriously challenge for the lead.l
Scott Hall finished third, Kody Smith worked his way up from eighth starting position to fourth, and Devon Ostheimer was fifth all the way from ninth starting position. Zack Lynskey, Angelique Bell, Bret Barney, Sparky Howard, and Klint Simpson rounded out the top ten. Klint
