Chili Bowl Drivers Spread Cheer To Children At Tulsa Hospital

Before some Chili Bowl drivers hit the dirt track at the RiverSpirit Expo Center, several of them visited the Children's Hospital at Saint Francis Tuesday morning. Chili Bowl drivers got away from the dirt track to spread a little cheer to children at Saint Francis. For more information on the Chili Bowl, click here . About a half dozen car drivers, from all different motorsports, visited several kids at the hospital. They took pictures, signed autographs. And they handed out shirts and sock animals that you can color with markers. Al Tschider has helped organize visits for years. Waiting for a heart transplant himself, he knows what it's like waiting in a hospital bed. "I just really believe in the family values of motorsports and what it does for kids. $30,000 purse on tap for West Texas ASCS 305 Region

  TULSA, Okla. (March 11, 2014) - A combined $30,000 in total prize money with a potential winner's share of $6,000 is on the line for the West Texas ASCS 305 Region presented by Mesilla Valley Transportation. Expecting some of the biggest names in ASCS competition, the El Paso Speedway Park in El Paso, Texas begins the weekend on Friday, March 14 with the 305 Smackdown. Saturday, March 15 will see events shift north to the Southern New Mexico Speedway in Las Cruces, N.M. Patrick Stasa Scores at the Devil's Bowl Spring Nationals!

  MESQUITE, Texas (March 29, 2014) - For the second time in four races, a first time winner emerged with the Lucas Oil American Sprint Car Series presented by MAVTV American Real as Patrick Stasa led the distance to claim the title of Spring Nationals Champion at the Devil's Bowl Speedway. Asked if he could find the words to describe the win, Stasa replied, "Oh man, there's no way. Running against Christopher Bell; him on the high side there, I almost let him have it with the lapped cars." Thanking sponsors and crew, Stasa later added, "I haven't even won a regional race, so winning this national race is big for me." Lasoski Charges to Victory at I-80 Speedway

  GREENWOOD, Neb. (April 6, 2014) - Mounting a late race charge, Danny Lasoski powered the Mark and Parker Burch No. 1m to the top spot at the I-80 Speedway, claiming the $2,500 winner's check with the Speedway Motors ASCS Midwest Region. Lining up seventh for the start, Lasoski hung in the top five most of the race as pole sitter, Ian Madsen, jumped to the lead; surrendering the point in traffic on Lap 10 to the Buffalo Wild Wings No. 82 of Kevin Swindell. Caution displayed with seven laps to run, the charge was on from Lasoski who worked past the battling due of Swindell and Madsen for the lead on Lap 23 in dramatic fashion. Seth Bergman tops ASCS Sooner at West Siloam

WEST SILOAM SPRINGS, Okla. (April 18, 2014) - Seth Bergman picked up his second ASCS Regional victory of the season, this time at the West Siloam Speedway in West Siloam Springs, Okla., and for the second straight year topped the American Bank of Oklahoma ASCS Sooner Region's season opening event. Drawing the pole for the night $2,000 to win event, Bergman rode second to Morgan Turpen, who jumped to the lead from the outside of the front row. ASCS Sooner Region joining National Tour before Lawton

TULSA, Okla. (April 29, 2014) - The American Bank of Oklahoma ASCS Sooner Region is in action this weekend with the Lucas Oil American Sprint Car Series National Tour on Friday, May 2 at the Outlaw Motorsports Park before venturing to a standalone event at the Lawton Speedway on Saturday, May 3. Rounds three and four in 2014, the series is currently led by Dustin Morgan who started his season off with a pair of podium finishes, a third at West Siloam Speedway and second at Springfield Raceway. Weekend Rewind: American Sprint Car Series

  TULSA, Okla. (May 5, 2014) - The Lucas Oil American Sprint Car Series presented by MAVTV American Real returned to competition this past weekend with events at the Outlaw Motorsports Park in Muskogee, Okla. and Riverside International Speedway in West Memphis, Ark. ASCS Gulf South in action in Texas and Louisiana

(July 15, 2014) - Taking on tracks in Texas and Louisiana this coming weekend, the Griffith Truck and Equipment ASCS Gulf South Region will hit the clay at the Golden Triangle Raceway Park in Beaumont, Texas on Friday, July 18 before their long awaited return to the Leesville 171 Speedway in Leesville, La. on Saturday, July 19. The season's final visit to the Golden Triangle Raceway Park, four previous trips has yielded just as many winners. Jon Agan grabbed his first ASCS victory on March 14. It's "Full Blown Chaos" in Victory Lane at Lawton

  LAWTON, Okla. (July 19, 2014) - The American Bank of Oklahoma ASCS Sooner Region made the trip to the Lawton Speedway on Saturday night with series point leader, Dustin Morgan, parking the Ark Wrecking of Oklahoma No. 93 in Victory Lane. Starting third, Morgan trailed at the start as pole sitter, Kevin Ramey, took off to the early lead. Walker Breaks Through with ASCS Sooner at Creek County Speedway

  SAPULPA, Okla. (July 18, 2014) - Good things come to those who are willing to put in the effort, and that effort finally cashed in for Mickey Walker at the Creek County Speedway on Friday night, winning for the first time against the American Bank of Oklahoma ASCS Sooner Region. Chasing Howard Moore for 24 laps, Walker put the hammer down to steal the win exiting the final turn to become the 53rd winner with the ASCS Sooner Region. Backing up his April 5 victory, Williams drew the pole but gave chase the first dozen laps as Ryan Linder jumped from outside of the front row to lead the way. Blowing a left-rear tire at the race's midpoint, Williams was able to assume the lead, and ultimately the win. Zack Lynskey Scores First Pit Stop USA Winged 360 Triumph

PETALUMA, CA – July 26 - Hot Petaluma temperatures led to a smooth sealed surface on Five Corners Automotive and Western Auto Body Night at Petaluma Speedway Saturday Night.  Sacra mento’s Billy Butler blazed a rapid lap of 12.456 as he collected fast time honors in the Pit Stop USA Winged 360 Division. Alissa Geving and Zack Lynskey were victorious in the pair of heat races.  Bradley Terrell got the better of Wayne Katen on the initial start of the 25-lap feature. (August 12, 2014) - The ASCS Frontier Region heads into their final eight nights of the season with two rounds of competition this weekend at the Gallatin Speedway in Belgrade, Mont. on Friday, August 15 and the Billings Motorsports Park just north of Billings, Mont. on Saturday, August 16. (September 7, 2014) Same track, different day for Seth Bergman who parked the Corridor Electric No. 23 in Victory Lane with the American Bank of Oklahoma Sooner Region on Sunday at the West Siloam Speedway.   CONCORD, N.C. - Nov. 6, 2014 - Daryn Pittman and Joey Saldana kicked off the opening night of the Bad Boy Buggies World of Outlaws World Finals at The Dirt Track at Charlotte by scoring qualifying quick-time awards. Helberg Dominates George Snider Classic at Kern Raceway

BAKERSFIELD, CALIFORNIA (November 23, 2014) - Rohnert Park, CA's JoJo Helberg put a cap on the inaugural  King of the Wing Sprint Car championship by winning the season ending national championship race on Sunday evening at Kern County Raceway Park. Helberg's win at the lightning fast half-mile was his fourth win in the six race series for Winged Pavement Sprint Cars at speeds over 150 miles per hour. A hearty crowd of over 2000 braved cool temperatures to witness some of the fastest oval track racing in the history of Kern County. The event wrapped up the second season of racing for the speedway as well. The series organized by Davey Hamilton ran a three race swing across Southern California, with Helberg winning the Saturday night round at Irwindale. Kinser Confirmed For Winter Heat

  INDIANAPOLIS – Twenty-time World of Outlaws STP Sprint Car Series champion Steve Kinser will be among the drivers bringing in 2015 racing in southwest Arizona at the inaugural Winter Heat Sprint Car Showdown at Cocopah Speedway in Somerton, Ariz. Record 50 Events For WoO Late Models

  INDIANAPOLIS – The World of Outlaws Late Model Series is set for a record number events in 2015 with 50 A-Mains featured on the national tour’s schedule released Thursday during the Performance Racing Industry trade show in Indianapolis. The country’s longest-running national dirt late model series has visits to 38 tracks in 20 states and Canada planned for its 12th season under the World Racing Group banner. The tour’s 2015 itinerary follows tradition in kicking off with a stretch of seven events in Georgia and Florida during the month of February. Rico Abreu Wins the Chili Bowl

(January 17, 2015) Saturday night at the Chili Bowl was one for the record books, as California's Rico Abreu raced to his first triumph in the finale of the 29th annual Lucas Oil Chili Bowl Midget Nationals presented by General Tire, delivering car owner, Keith Kunz, his first Golden Driller since 2002. "I just tried to stay as patient as I could. You know the race is a not a long race, but it is a long race. For a few laps I just kind of got after it just to see where we were at and I hung with him [Bryan Clauson] pretty good," commented Abreu about his pass for the lead.
