Properly Sizing Your Race Suit

Your race suit is the only thing that will stand between you and serious burn injuries should you end up in an accident on the track or course. With that in mind, it's essential to choose carefully. Your race suit (or your child's race suit) is a significant investment.  If you're in the market for your first race suit, there is one key difference between a race suit fit and street clothes fit: your race suit should fit best when seated in the driving position.    How Do I Measure Myself For A Race Suit?  Most brands require you to measure the following areas: Chest Waist Hip Inseam Arm Shoulders Next, you'll need to refer to the manufacturer's size chart for specific instructions. Evernham Looks Back On Gordon’s Career

(HHP/Alan Marler Photo) Article By:Aaron Burns MOORESVILLE, N.C. – Ray Evernham can still recall the first time he met the wiry kid from Pittsboro, Ind., who looked like he was 14 years old even after he’d already turned 19. Jeff Gordon always had a way of standing out beyond simply piloting a race car. Evernham – then known for his Modified racing success – was injured and looking for something to do. Evernham didn’t know what to think when, after Andy Petree suggested he work with Gordon and then-Busch Series car owner Hugh Connerty in 1990, he went to Charlotte, N.C. and met Gordon and his parents in a hotel room to plan out their strategy. Evernham had his briefcase. It contained what one...

"I just tried to stay as patient as I could. You know the race is a not a long race, but it is a long race. For a few laps I just kind of got after it just to see where we were at and I hung with him [Bryan Clauson] pretty good," commented Abreu about his pass for the lead. "I don't know how hard he was racing, but when the time was right I pulled the trigger and gave him a slide job and was waiting for him to slide me back. We dragged raced each other into three and I came out with the lead."
