PETALUMA, CA – MARCH 29, 2012: Andy Forsberg had a very successful Memorial Day weekend aboard the Pit Stop USA sponsored F&F Racing X1.  Saturday night at Marysville CA for a California Civil War Series race.  Forsberg was 8th quick out of 39 cars, finished 3rd in his heat race and would line up 6th in the A main event.  At the start of the race Andy quickly made his moves and by lap 10 was battling for the lead with Colby Wiesz.  As Forsberg and Wiesz battled the 3rd place car of Kyle Hirst moved into the mix and the three front runners were changing positions lap after lap moving through lapped traffic at the same time.  Hirst would eventually prevail at the checkered flag over Forsberg with third going to Steven Tiner.  The race was one of the most exciting races of the year.

 

     Sunday May 27th the California Civil War Series in action at Silver Dollar Speedway in Chico, California.  Forsberg piloted the Pit Stop USA X1 car to 5th quick out of 43 cars and went on to finish 3rd in his heat race.  The number 6 pill draw placed Andy on the outside front row position for the A main event.  The track was started to take rubber so tire conservation was the key to this race.  Forsberg grabbed the lead on lap 5, saved his tires and won the Memorial Day Fair race for the second year in a row.  Forsberg entered the weekend 17 points behind the leader and now sits only 6 points behind Kyle Hirst.
