Each track has it’s marquee event to kick off the season, For the Nebraska based Beatrice Speedway it is the 18th annual Spring Nationals. The Spring Nationals are set to kick off on Mach 17th with practice and run through March 19th. Friday, March 18th will see the IMCA Modifieds, IMCA Sport Mods, IMCA Hobby Stocks, and the  IMCA Sport Compacts compete for the first day of the two day show. Racing will continue on Saturday, March 19th with the IMCA Modifieds, IMCA Sport Mods, IMCA Hobby Stocks, and the IMCA Factory Stocks finishing out two days of racing.

Early entries from more than 90 drivers are in hand and track prep is well under way for the March 18-19 Spring Nationals at Beatrice Speedway.

IMCA Modifieds headline Friday and Saturday night programs, running in $1,500 to win, minimum $200 to start features that are qualifying events for the 2011 Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot.

“We have already been working on the track and will be going morning to night the next week so we will be ready for a great weekend,” promoter Toby Kruse said. “I have been getting a lot of phone calls from people asking about Spring Nationals. We’re looking forward to starting the season with great racing in every division.”

Twenty-four Modifieds will take the green flag each night and all Modified drivers are guaranteed $75 a day in tow money.

Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMods race for $400 to win and IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks run for $300 to win each night. Friday’s show also sports a $200 to win feature for Mach-1 Sport Compacts.

RACEceivers are required in all divisions.

Pit gates open at 4:30 p.m. Friday, with hot laps at 6 p.m. and racing at 7 p.m. On Saturday, gates open at 2:30 p.m., hot laps are at 5 p.m. and racing is at 6 p.m.

An open practice session for all divisions runs from 6-9 p.m. on Thursday, March 17.

Pit passes are $10 for Thursday’s practice and $25 for Friday and Saturday shows. Grandstand admission each race night is $14 for adults and $5 for kids 10 and under.
