The HANS Adjustable, which meets the SFI Foundation’s Spec. 38.1 for head and neck restraints, enables all drivers to purchase a HANS with full confidence of a comfortable fit no matter what type of car or racing seat they use. It is adjustable in five-degree increments which allows the Hans Adjustable device to improve the fit and comfort for all racers. The HANS Adjustable can be used in different types of cars. If a racer competes in a sprint car with an upright seat and also a stock car with a reclined seat the device easily adjusts to the seat layback from 10 to 40 degrees. The HANS Adjustable device is made by an injection molded process using a metal alloy before a fire-resistant nylon coating is applied. The DuPont Zytel coating is a nylon resin that is injection molded to the fit the device. In addition to toughness characteristics, the make-up of the polymer is mixed specifically to be highly fire resistant. Metal fasteners that employ Spiralock® technology enable a driver to adjust the legs of the HANS to alter the angle of the collar in five-degree increments.
The HANS Adjustable weighs 970 grams. This is heavier than the HANS Sport II (770 grams) and lighter than the HANS Sport (1,110 grams). Features: HANS - Adjustable™
