This revolutionary, Chassis R&D patented Windows software program is the the answer to winning performance on the race track!
Racers have discovered that the roll center location is the most important aspect of the front a stock car. Use this software to easily find your front roll center in both static and dynamic location. This roll center software program also features the tools that will allow you to quickly re-design your own chassis for optimum racing performance. This program is the Absolute Easiest To Use Ever.
Convenient data entry next to a full screen picture diagram of your chassis. Re-design your own race car fast and easy. This Windows program provides easy reading help files that cover an extensive listing of topics on demand.
The Chassis R&D Geometry Software allows you to change your arm angles and arm lengths. Enter dive and roll to see where the Roll Center moves to in the turns. This program also recalculates your chassis's dimensions for you and then shows how far each point moved after re-design of the chassis.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ABOUT FRONT ROLL CENTERS:
Q. WHAT IS a FRONT ROLL CENTER? The front roll center is a geometric point in a double-A arm suspension that is located by using the angles of the upper and lower control arms. Some individuals have drawn out the suspensions on their cars to find the roll center location, but it is much faster and a whole lot easier to use a computer program. And, we need to know where the front roll center moves to while the car is in the turns. We know the roll center moves after dive and roll. The roll center location is the most important factor in determining how the front end will work as the car goes through the turns.
Q. WHY DO I NEED TO KNOW WHERE MY FRONT ROLL CENTER IS LOCATED? The front roll center location determines how the weight transfers in the front end of the car and how much the cambers will change for the left front and right front wheels. Adverse weight transfer or camber change characteristics can be a major problem causing the car to push in the middle of the turns. Each race car requires a certain roll center location based on the type of racing (dirt or asphalt) and what kind of race track (banking angle and surface conditions) in order for the tires to perform the best. The front end will never work to its maximum capacity unless the roll center is located in the right place.
Q. WHAT WILL ROLL CENTER SOFTWARE DO FOR ME? a good roll center software program will first of all be very Easy to use. Lets face it, were racers, not rocket scientists. a good program should tell us where the roll center is located at ride height and also where it moves to in the middle of the turns. We need the Roll Center to be at its best location for our intended use when the car is in the turns. a good program should tell us camber changes also. And, to make changing the Roll Center location easy, it should tell us the original control arm angles and lengths, then allow us to change the angles and lengths easily. With the Chassis R&D Geometry software, all you have to do is type in the new arm angles, and/or the new arm lengths. The program will show the new Roll Center locations and tell you how far the pickup points have moved from the original locations.
Q. HOW DO I USE THE INFORMATION? Once you have determined the location of the Roll Center and the camber change information for your car, you need to determine if you will need to change any arm angles or arm lengths to make the roll center location better for your use. The software allows you to do this quickly and easily.
Q. DOESN'T MY CHASSIS BUILDER KNOW WHERE MY ROLL CENTER IS LOCATED? He may know where he designed it to be, but are your arm lengths the same as he designed for your car? Also, until recently, none of us (including all of the car builders) understood the importance of Roll Center location as it applies to the dynamics of the car. Many well known race car builders across the country are now rethinking the designs of their cars related to roll center design. Remember, it is up to YOU to make sure your race car has what it needs in order to out-perform your competition.Pit Stop USA offers Chassis R & D Geometry - Roll Center Program - Windows CRD2001 at low everyday prices.
