GREG WAMBOLD, the President of Classic Dash, was born in the San Fernando Valley of California in 1952. After graduation in 1970 he enlisted in the Navy. Later he went on to found a furniture manufacturing firm and in the 1990s he established an engineering business that specialized in aerospace and auto racing components. Today, Greg applies his years of experience in the manufacturing industry to the running of Classic Dash and to serving its customers.

Classic Dash, formed in 2002, was the first company to create replacement ABS composite dash panels for vehicles of the muscle car era. Today the firms state-of-the-art manufacturing facility is located in Carson City, Nevada, and the company offers the most complete line of replacement dash panels.

These ABS plastic sheets have been sized and prepared for thermal forming, a vacuum-forming process performed at 320 degrees Fahrenheit. The material is endowed with a UV inhibitor to protect the finished panels against damage from the sun.

Custom-built to Classic Dashs specifications, this thermo-forming machine is in the process of forming a brushed aluminum Chevelle dash panel. With gauges installed and dash panel secured to the vehicle, these ABS panels are light in weight and exceedingly rigid.

Accuracy is the key feature of the Thermwood 5-axis CNC high-speed router. It consistently trims our dash panels to within .005 inch plus or minus.
